Another Fogust Update... Lotsa music to check out this weekend!!

Lots to do around these parts in August. A smoking weather forecast will have people on the beach and at the Long Beach Golf Course this weekend.

Speaking of the Golf Course, the Wickaninnish in Pro-Am is next month and they are starting to look for sponsors. It's a great tournament that raises money for the Ucluelet Secondary School and if you want to get involved I urge you to contact Gibby @ (250) 725 3332.

There's a lot of music this weekend as well;

Victoria's Paul O'Brien is going to be playing all over this weekend. Official's in Ukee on Thursday, The Weigh West on Friday and back in Ukee at the Black Rock's Float Lounge on Sunday.  Expect to hear Paul on Long Beach Radio Thursday or Friday afternoon.

There's also two Rock shows Friday night in Tofino. The Maquinna plays host to The Bonito's with The Keg Killers

The Legion has Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees before they head off to rock The Big Time Out in Cumberland this weekend. We gave away some ticket to The Big Time out this week and still have Rifflandia and some other events to send you to so sign up for the ticket give-away Facebook event

Saturday night you can catch L. Poushinky in the Weigh West's Dockside Pub in Tofino... should be a neat show, hopefully I can get an interview together with her.

Also Saturday in Ukee at Wild Heather Books it's Andrea Romolo coming back... lots of music at Wild Heather Books lately, check out their events page or drop in.
