It's here, and despite stormy conditions I'm still sure lots of people will be out shopping local and visiting their friends and neighbours. I speak, of course, of Jingle Into Christmas.... It's Tofino's own little "Black Friday" (only without the irrational behavior)
Here's the basic idea, local business will be open into the evening with warming refreshments and great deals to encourage folks to get their holiday shopping done right here on the coast. Shopping local this time of year saves you the hassle of winter driving and helps keep the local economy rolling.
Here's a list of some of the events, sales and fun going on around Tofino tonight;
At Long Beach Radio we'll be broadcasting some Holiday Cheer from the afternoon til the Canucks game starting at 6pm. Scroll to the bottom of this post for a taste of what's gonna happen.
The Tofino Legion hosts a Turkey Dinner tonight starting at 4pm, a great start to your jingling and a nice chance to catch up with friends and family
The Wildside Grill has a charity BBQ with gingerbread cookies and proceeds going to the food bank. Also, Santa will be down at the Wildside Grill for some photos
Rubio, who just opened in Tofino after being in Uclulet for a few years will be open til midnight with 10% offf storewide
Jamie's Whaling Station will be open til 10 Friday and 4 Saturday with 10% - 60% off
Knits By The Sea will have 15% off Friday and 10% off on Saturday
Tofino Tech has opened a storefront location under SOBO that will be worth checking out. They've got deals on computer and high tech goodies like Hard Drives and USB memory sticks and it's a good chance to see a (sort of) new west coast business
Reflecting Spirit Gallery is open til 10pm tonight and you could win a $100 gift certificate in addition to %10 off storewide and bigger savings on select items
Stormlight Outfitters has 25% off all Outdoor Research apparel
Tofino Fishing and Trading has 20% off the entire stock
Method Marine has heaters and accessories for 20-30% off
Sacred Stone Spa will have 25% off all retail products and free chair massages
Mermaid Tales Books has games and draws for prizes and discounts, sounds like fun
The Treehouse Gift Shop has 25% off storewide except books at 15% all weekend
Studio One has up to 25% off retail, open til 9 tonight
