The West Coast Remembers, 2011

Friday is Remembrance Day. In order to pay tribute to the veterans of the world's many struggles people around the world will pause to consider their sacrifices.  On Long Beach Radio we have a prepared ceremony that will run around 11am to commemorate the day, including a moment of silence.  If you are able to attend we strongly encourage you to participate in this years remembrance ceremonies being held in Ucluelet.  Here's the basic itinerary;

10am Church Service at The Holy Family Church (1663 Peninsula Road) followed by
The Colour Party March to the cenotaph at the Army, Navy, Airforc Hall (1708 Peninsula Road) for a wreath laying ceremony starting around 10:45
Refreshments to follow

I played this song to finish the morning show today. I hope you find it helps you to remember.

Thanks for Listening To Long Beach Radio, Geoff
