Missing Person; Gabriel Lavoie

Here is the latest press release from the Tofino RCMP regarding Gabe. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends on this difficult day;

Update to Search for Gabriel LAVOIE
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on February 24th, 2012 Tofino Coast Guard Search
and Rescue located the body of a man on Felica Island just North of Tofino.
The man was later positively identified as Gabriel Lavoie.
The cause of Mr. Lavoie's death is not known at this time but foul play is not suspected.  The BC Coroner's Service is currently involved in the investigation.
Tofino RCMP would like to thank all the friends and local residents who
assisted in the search.  Also a thank you to Westcoast Inland Search and
Rescue, Coast Guard Search and Rescue, and JRCC for all their efforts
throughout the day.

  7. R.I.P Buddy, i had the the pleasure of rooming with him for a few months last summer, truly a life loving, big hearted hilarious dude. My prayers go out to gab's family and anyone who was close with him. Peace to Jamie and Mike B too!
