Catching Up On Some Audio (Electric Cars, Old Timey Tunes, Old Timey West Coasters)

Another short post but this one you could really stretch out if you want.... First off, here's the full interview with Rob MacGregor of Sun Country Highway, we discuss electric car highway infrastructure... You may have heard a snippet of it on the morning show today;
Also from this morning's show, a very unique Remote Passages Marine Wildlife Report. These are the details as sent to me by Don over at "Remote";

Here is a bit of a different update from Tofino's past.

We just had a visit from Janet and David from the UK.  Janet was visiting Tofino to track down the history of her uncle, Rolly Brinckman's life.

Rolly Brinckman was a Tofino resident in the 20's and 30's.  He worked at the coast guard and was an artist.  He put on plays and wrote skits which he preformed for the residents of Tofino.

He died of pneumonia and is buried on Morpheous Island.

And now the full audio;

Yesterday we had a visit from Dan Lewis at Friend's of Clayoquot Sound, if you missed that you can hear it here;

And finally, on Tuesday we played this interview with Jennifer Kidd, Coordinator of this year's Pacific Rim Summer Festival, have a listen if you like.

If you're wondering where the "Old Timey" portion of this post's title comes from check out this post from a few days ago when we have a great morning of music in the studio including local's Prester John's Gone and Dirty Country as well as The Crooked Brothers.

Thanks for listening to Long Beach Radio. -Geoff
