Well, here we go... Summer may not be technically over and the weather forecast is holding onto the notion of summer sunshine BUT kids are back to school soon and the tourist traffic drops off quite a bit right after the long weekend.
So... Make the best of this weekend, lots of things are happening;
Tonight (Thursday):
-Matt Epp is playing at Humanity in Tofino ($12 it think, all ages) and probably in our studio some time this afternoon
-Bluegrass with Viper Central in Uclulet at The Black Rock's Float Lounge (free 19+)
-It's Jam night at The Tofino Legion
Friday:
-BlackList at Jack's Pub in Tofino (free, 19+)
-Mark Crissinger is playing at Black Rock's Float Lounge (free, 19+)
-Ukee night market in the Ucluelet village greeen
Saturday:
-The Carving Edge Festival kicks off, find out more at www.carvingedgefestival.ca
-Tofino village green market (10-2) with Entertainment from Ballistic Pig!!! (That's my "band")
-Current Swell and Jon & Roy at The Tofino Legion (19+, tix at Tofitian and Long Beach Surf)
-Ukee Bowl Slam Punk Rock Madness!!!
-Mark Crissinger at Jack's Pub in Tofino (Mark's there Sunday Night as well)
That's a taste of some of the music and a few other things that are happening this Labour Day Long Weekend. We're also expecting good weather so come on out and wrap up summer in style!!
