Before we get into the blog post, if you are looking for the BC teacher's strike letter it's HERE
Thanks for checking out longbeachradio.ca just a minute ago I happened to be checking our website stats when I noticed our all time hits we at 99,998. I hit refresh and was treated with this view;
About 30% of our visitor are from outside Canada. Mostly the USA, UK, Australia and Germany so thanks to our international audience. We don't know where in Canada our domestic visitors are visiting from but we know a lot of folks visit Tofino and Ucluelet then return here for a little taste of our west coast heaven. Most importantly though, thanks to our local listeners and business partners who have made it possible to get the station rolling along so nicely.
Thanks for listening to and logging on to Long Beach Radio. -Geoff

Bobby's Back and Prester John's Gone
We had a couple great broadcasting moments over the weekend to contrast sharply with the tragic events of Gabe Lavoie's passing (last blog post has the information on Gabe).
First off, Bobby Lax was back for the first Friday Funky Food Hour in a long while. If you missed it you can stream the whole thing right here, songs and all. Check out our profile on MixCloud for more audio archives in future.
We also had local band Prester John's Gone and Dirt Country in on Saturday afternoon to play a few songs live and a couple of their recent recordings, they're looking for gigs to add to an upcoming Rocky Mountain tour so look them up on Facebook.
That's it for now, we're working on some exciting plans for The Friday Funky Food Hour in the near future and always looking for studio guests so get in touch (contact info on the "Contact" page)
